Jadis-Little White Witch Rabbit
Don't you just feel like this sometimes?
Meet Jade, an exuberant, bossy, adorable Californian. After surviving Coccidiosis (a disease most common in young rabbits) when she was eight weeks old, she lived in our basement for several weeks. She became quite the spoiled pet while living down there.
While Jade was residing in our basement, she acquired several quirky nicknames. Once, we started calling her "Jadis," forgetting that it was the name of the White Witch from Narnia. When I finally figured this out, I told my family, who immediately started calling the poor rabbit "Little White Witch."
Every morning when I feed Jade, she comes bounding up to the door, and then stops suddenly, waiting for me to pet her. If I reach in the pen to do it, she stretches out on the floor, closes her eyes, and soaks it up. If I stop petting her, she gives me a "seriously?" look, followed by an evil glare, which, if not responded to properly, is followed by a "nibble."
Jade also has a soft spot for granola bars. She adores the Oats and Honey flavor, and loves to join in on family snacks. First, Jade takes a bite, then my little sister takes a bite, and then Jade takes a bite again. This is how things work.
So, that's Jade for you. Sassy, vain, stubborn, spoiled, and lovable.
