Afternoon Antics
It
was a rainy day, and Aravis invited Dreamy over for tea. They were having a
very pleasant conversation.
“Mmm-Hmm!
And I was just like ‘Really?!?!?!?!?’”
Aravis
sipped her tea. “Yea, I just hate it when that happens.”
Just
then, there was a knock on the door.
“Now,
who could that be? Sebastian’s over at Digory’s house, so it couldn’t be him.”
Aravis went and opened the door. There stood Sebastian, wet and covered in mud.
“You’re supposed to be at Dig…” Aravis started.
“ARRRRGH!”
Sebastian yelled, and charged into the house. “TO THE BASEMENT!!!!!!!!!!”
“…ory’s.”
She finished, just as Digory and the rest of Sebastian’s mud-covered “gang”
stampeded through her living room. She watched in shock as her new living room
carpet turned into something that resembled a well-used pig pen. “SEBASTIAN!!!!!
WHAT are you DOING!” She fairly shrieked. Dreamy looked appalled.
“Does
he always act so…uncivilized?” she asked, when the bucks had all disappeared
downstairs.
“Put
it this way,” said Aravis, “he accidently flew a drone into our wedding cake.”
“Oh…
but how are you going to clean it up?”
“I
am definitely NOT cleaning it up. Sebastian and Digory like to help support the
younger rabbits in the community, so they make a mess once a month and then pay
them to clean it up.”
“Wow.
I guess that’s one way to do it.”
“Usually
they make a mess OUTSIDE, though. There’s no need to do it in the HOUSE!!”
“SORRY!!”
came from the basement. “So, can you maybe bring us down some food?”
“I’m
OUT of food!” Aravis shouted back, “so maybe you could get OUT of the
basement!” Five minutes later, a rather large group of bucks, headed by
Sebastian, trudged up the stairs.
“Where
are we going next? We already got banned from Diggy’s house.”
“Oh,
I’m sure the fire hall’s available.” Aravis smiled cheerfully at them as the
walked out the door and into the rain. “Have fun, guys!”
Aravis called the professional carpet cleaner as it was much too hard a job for the young rabbits of their community. She brewed fresh cups of tea for them both, and then they sat down to enjoy an afternoon of chatting that would hopefully NOT be interrupted by any more of Sebastian’s ridiculous antics.
